What is Microneedling?

Microneedling works by sending tiny, tiny needles down into the dermis of the skin, triggering the body’s own wound-healing response. This in turn gives your body the signal to get to work. You need new skin to fix this ‘trauma’ your current skin has experienced. The result? Stronger, healthier skin thanks to the new baby collagen, and all the other goodness, your body has just created for you.

Results vary from person to person but generally you will notice results as soon as 2 weeks after the treatment.

How many treatments do I need?

The amount of treatments depend on the skin concern we are treating and how well your skin responds. At your first Microneedling appointment we will be able to go into detail on the concern we are treating.

What will I look like immediately after Microneedling?

Your skin will be red after the treatment for the next couple hours. The inflammation will come down fairly quickly.

What should I avoid after Microneedling?

It is very important to avoid sun exposure, excessive sweating, steam rooms and saunas. You will need to keep your face clean for the next 24 hours and avoid touching your skin as much as you can.

Do you use numbing cream?

No, we do not. Numbing cream may constrict blood vessels. Microneedling works by creating micro-injuries that stimulate natural healing and collagen production, and reduced blood flow could interfere with optimal skin rejuvenation results.
